cozy self care ideas for fall

Cozy Self Care Ideas

Since the end of October is here and we’re now all settled into the fall season, today I’m sharing my favorite cozy self care ideas for fall! I think fall is a great time to get really healthy and take the best possible care of yourself in order to really get prepared for the upcoming busy holiday season – as well as the cold weather to come.

Fall is also one of the busiest times of year as it leads up to the holiday season and the end of the year, so there’s really no better time to do a reset on your life and really take your self care game to the next level.

With that being said, here are some of my favorite cruelty free and vegan friendly fall self care ideas!

Keep reading for my favorite fall self care ideas:

  1. Make yourself a dairy free latte – Lattes are the perfect way to warm yourself up in the cold fall air! Check out my recipe for my favorite dairy free golden milk turmeric latte for a drink that’s delicious and contains several good for you plant based ingredients that your skin will love!cozy self care ideas fall

  2. Watch a few episodes of your favorite show – One of my favorite things to do as the weather starts to get cold and it gets dark earlier is to curl up on the couch with the fireplace on, some of my favorite vegan treats, and some blankets and put on one of my favorite shows! Right now I’m loving watching reruns of Friends, Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars.

  3. Make a fall harvest bowl – Now is the time to really take care of your health before the holiday season hits and we all start to binge eat sweets and junk food! Find a good plant based harvest bowl recipe using veggies that are in season, such as sweet potato, Brussels sprouts, carrots, green beans, etc. and make a big nutritious bowl of vegetables! This recipe from the Minimalist Baker is delicious, or you can order pre-made harvest bowls that take 3 minutes to prepare from one of my favorite companies Daily Harvest (using my code “caitlin” gets all new customers $24 off their first order!!)

  4. Take a candlelit bath – Taking a bath really helps relieve stress, especially if you switch off the lights and light some candles! I love buying myself cruelty free bath products from places like Lush as a treat and using them whenever I can.self care ideas cozy fall

  5. Go for a walk – Fall is a great time to get outside and go for a walk, since it’s no longer scorching hot outside and you can actually enjoy nature without worrying about too much sun exposure. Taking a walk somewhere new and paying more attention to the changing leaves and plants can be very relaxing too!

  6. Do a face mask – As far as cozy fall self care ideas go, this is one of my favorites! Your skin will thank you for this one, since it’s going to need some extra hydration as the air starts to get colder and more dry. One of my favorite cruelty free brands that makes awesome face masks is Yes To, which you can find on Amazon!

  7. Work on decluttering – Decluttering is another one of my favorite things to do to relieve stress, because I find that the more random objects and stuff I have piling up, the more cluttered my mind gets! Go through your closet and donate anything you haven’t worn in a while, or clear out a drawer or two of stuff you don’t need and recycle it or get rid of it.

  8. Do some gratitude journaling – Writing about the things in your life that you’re grateful for is the best way to remind yourself of how much good there is in your life, which is a really great way to create more good things!            self care ideas cozy fall

  9. Do an at home workout – There are so many good at home workouts that you can do if you just search through Youtube! I love following one of my favorite VS angels Romee Strijd’s workout videos, but you can find anyone who inspires and motivates you to work out at home. This is a great option if you live in a really cold climate and don’t want to leave the house to go to the gym or a class this winter!

  10. Read a book – Pick up your favorite book and spend some time at the end of the night decompressing and reading in bed. I’ve been really into reading vegan cookbooks lately, and for when I read fiction it’s usually Harry Potter! 🙂

Thank you for reading my 10 best and most cozy self care ideas for fall! What are some of your favorite things to do to practice self care and get yourself ready for the winter? Let me know in the comments below!

The dairy free latte looks so good! Since cutting out milk, I’ve become use to just drinking black coffee, so it will be nice to switch things up.
I love going on autumn walks. It really helps clear my mind. 🙂

Great post. At the turn of the seasons I always get rid of things I don’t need, such as clothes I haven’t been wearing (I donate them). Living in a more clutter-free environment puts my mind at ease!
