If you’re reading this, congrats on surviving the nightmare that was 2020 lol! We’ve pretty much made it through, and suddenly (for me at least and hopefully for you too) things are starting to look up for the new year.
Today I have a list of healthy lifestyle tips for 2021 that will help you glow up and make big improvements to your life for the new year. But don’t wait until the new year to start working on yourself – the best time to start is always now!

Watch How You Think + Speak About Yourself
The things we think and say to ourselves have such a huge impact and most of us don’t even realize it. If you’re constantly thinking bad thoughts about yourself and talking down on yourself to others (like making self deprecating jokes), all it’s going to do is further damage your self esteem by making you actually believe the things you’re saying.
Instead of talking down on yourself, build yourself UP and watch how you glow up and how your life improves in the following days and weeks just by doing that one little thing!
Improve Your Diet
I say this all the time and it’s because it’s SO true – the more whole, plant based foods you can incorporate into your diet, the better. Replace meat and dairy with fruits and veggies as much as possible, because doing so will naturally cut down on your fat and calorie intake while also increasing your nutrient and antioxidant intake.
You should also notice an increase in your energy levels if you’re eating fewer animal products and more plant based foods, and you will just feel better overall since you’ll have less bloating and your body will be able to digest your food a lot quicker!
Start A Gratitude Journal
This is such an amazing thing to do to help you remember all of the good things in your life and keep them at the front of your mind. Keep a gratitude journal and try to write down 3-5 things you’re grateful for once a day, either when you wake up or right before you go to bed. The more you think about the good things that you already have, the more good things you will create in your life!
Keep Clutter To A Minimum
They say that the more options you have, the more anxiety you’ll have and I for sure know this is true! Anytime you have clutter and unnecessary stuff piling up in your space, it’s honestly just more trouble than it’s worth because it’s going to end up costing you time and energy just trying to go through it all.
As an example, if you have way too much makeup that you don’t need and won’t even be able to use, it’s just going to end up taking up more space and give you added stress when you’re doing your makeup in the morning because you’re going to be overwhelmed by all of the different products that you have to choose from. If you just keep only exactly what you need to use every day and nothing more, you’re going to be able to save yourself time and stress by doing so.
