Seed Probiotic Review: What Is Seed?
Seed’s DS-01 is a daily synbiotic (a synergistic combination of both a prebiotic and a probiotic) that promotes digestive health for decreased bloating and healthy stool. It contains 24 strains of probiotics, which are beneficial microorganisms that live in your gut and support digestive health. These probiotics help break down food, produce vitamins and other beneficial compounds, and support a healthy immune system. Seed Probiotic also includes prebiotics, which are the fibers that feed the probiotics, helping them thrive and multiply in your gut.
Research has shown that a healthy gut microbiome is essential for overall health and well-being. Imbalances in gut bacteria have been linked to a range of health problems, including digestive issues, autoimmune disorders, and even mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression. By supporting a healthy gut microbiome, Seed Probiotic may help improve digestion, boost immunity, and even support brain health.
Not only that, it can potentially bring you tons of other benefits for overall health and wellbeing, including supporting clear, glowing skin, heart health, immune function, and more.
This is a subscription based service that has a 30 day risk-free guarantee, free US shipping and an international flat-rate (which I think is really nice because you can order even if you live outside of the US), and they’ve also made it super easy to skip or cancel your monthly delivery at any time. It’s worth mentioning in this Seed probiotic review that I have heard great things about their customer support, and they have both a customer care email address and a phone number to contact in case you have any questions or concerns.
The DS-01 Daily Synbiotic contains 24 different scientifically validated strains and is shelf stable for up to 18 months at temperatures up to 78 degrees Fahrenheit. Additionally, Seed Probiotic is designed to survive the harsh conditions of the stomach, ensuring that the probiotics reach the intestines where they can have the greatest impact. The formula is research backed and was developed with the help of a scientific advisory board that consists of top researchers, doctors, scientists and more.
You can also check out Seed’s website after reading this Seed probiotic review to learn all about the science behind their product and the clinical research that they conduct!
According to Seed’s website, you will want to take the DS-01 Daily Synbiotic on an empty stomach or at least ten minutes before a meal. It is also suggested that you start off by taking one pill per day for the first three days and then increasing it to two per day on the fourth day (or whenever you feel ready to do so). Each container comes with 60 capsules, so your first order could last you a little bit longer than a month if you were to start off on one per day!
Seed is:
- Completely vegan
- Gluten free
- Soy free
- Nut free
- Preservative free

Seed Review: What Is A Probiotic For?
Probiotics are live bacteria that offer many health benefits for the human body. They are meant to maintain or improve the “good” bacteria in your system so that your digestion is optimized and as a result the appearance of your skin can be improved, you might experience less bloating and gassiness, and your heart health and immune function may be improved as well. I go into a lot more comprehensive detail in this Seed Probiotic review about even more benefits you may experience too, FYI!
One of the best parts is that the biodiversity of your microbiome can be supported by taking a high quality probiotic like the Seed DS-01 Daily Synbiotic. If you’re not sure what exactly the term “microbiome” refers to, it simply means the many microorganisms living in and on our bodies (38 trillion of them to be precise!). These microorganisms need to work efficiently with your body to perform necessary functions and keep you – and the ecosystem that is your body – healthy.
While there’s no exact picture or clear standard of what a perfectly healthy or “ideal” microbiome looks like, and such a thing might not even exist – since we as humans are all so different – we do know that a diverse microbiome is desirable, and that is precisely what Seed is designed to support.

My Experience With Seed
As I stated earlier on in this post, I have tried out a ton of different probiotics in my life and so I feel like I have a decent amount of experience and can accurately tell the good from the bad. That being said, I genuinely believe that Seed is the best of the best, and I’ll tell you exactly why.
First off, one of my favorite things about the product that I want to note in this Seed probiotic review is the fact that the Daily Synbiotic is both a prebiotic and a probiotic in one. This obviously eliminates the need to be buying a ton of extra products and different vitamins when you can just get both in one capsule, and it also saves time.
The design of their capsule also protects the synbiotic from being prematurely dissolved before it actually gets where it needs to go in your body. This can be a big issue with so many prebiotic and probiotic products on the market, because when the capsule is dissolving too soon and not getting to where it should be, then it will not be doing much for you. I think that that could be a major reason why so many people complain that these types of products don’t work for them, and I commend Seed for truly thinking of the important details with their design.

With all of the above being said, I feel that one thing that this product has done for me is it’s improved my skin significantly. This is definitely a big thing worth mentioning in my honest Seed Probiotic review: after about five months of taking it, I’m noticing my old acne scars fading away, which is amazing because I’ve been self conscious of them for years. I love that I’ve seen this improvement, and now I won’t have any need to go get any expensive skin treatments done to get rid of the appearance of scarring, which is amazing!
Seed Probiotic Review: What Are The Pros?
There are so many benefits to this amazing supplement. One of my personal favorites is the improvement I saw to my skin after the first three or so weeks of taking it. I feel like I have more of a glow now that I didn’t have before starting this, and for me that alone is enough to continue taking Seed!
Another thing I’ve noticed is that I have been experiencing less bloating after meals and just in general. This is something that is important to me, since I am pretty prone to bloating and would always be extremely self conscious of it after a meal, especially if I was around friends or other people. I am someone who tends to wear fitted clothing so the bloating was always pretty noticeable, and I’m really happy with the improvements I’ve seen in that category.

There is also a sustainability aspect to this brand that you would be hard pressed to find in any other probiotic brand. The jar that your first order (known as your “welcome kit”) comes in is a gorgeous glass jar that is refillable, along with a smaller sized glass vial you can use for when you travel, and you can keep using both of them for as long as you’re subscribed to Seed. Everything is packaged and sent to you in a bio-based tray that breaks down in 90 days and is actually compostable at home – it’s made from starch, natural fibers and water! Even the pouch that your monthly refill is mailed in is biodegradable, which I think is really cool.
This is one of my favorite parts about ordering from them that I just had to make clear in my Seed probiotic review. They are one of those companies that actually really makes an effort in the sustainability department and isn’t just all talk like a lot of brands can be. Whenever my monthly order comes in I take the part of the packaging that is biodegradable and literally just put it in the sink while I hand wash dishes and the water is running, since it breaks down in water very quickly and leaves no mess and no waste!
Basically, this is a beautiful premium product that provides an all around great experience. It’s convenient because you can keep it right on your bedside table so that you remember to take it (it is shelf stable and does not have to be refrigerated), and I just really enjoy and even look forward to taking it every day because I know that when I do, I’m supporting my gut health and making a great choice for my body.
Seed Probiotic Review: What Are The Cons?
In my opinion, there really aren’t many downsides to this supplement aside from the price. It is definitely a premium probiotic at about $50 per month, but the quality that you’re getting for that price point is basically unmatched.
I do have to create a fair and honest Seed probiotic review, so I’ll mention that if you’re looking to find an inexpensive probiotic, then this might not be the one for you. But if you want the highest quality and don’t mind paying a little bit more in exchange, then this could be your new favorite supplement and I would highly encourage you to check it out (click here and use my Seed discount code “CAITLINT15” for 15% off your first order!).
Other than that, I honestly really can’t think of any other cons. I’ve had such a great experience in the time that I’ve been using this product, and I think that it can potentially really help a lot of people who have uncomfortable stomach pain and bloating issues that they haven’t been able to solve. Seed is a high quality product that is science and research backed and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!
Seed Review: Does It Work?
At this point I’ve been taking my Seed probiotic for several months and I have definitely noticed an improvement in how my skin looks, which is something that is super important to me because I have slight acne scarring that I’ve been trying to erase for a while now. I think that after taking this for a while my skin texture definitely looks more smooth and evened out, and I’m seeing a glow to my skin that wasn’t there before!
This has really helped with my confidence issues and has improved my self image significantly. People who have never struggled with acne may not understand, but those who have know that the acne itself and then the scars from blemishes that didn’t heal properly can really mess with your self esteem.
Another big improvement I have to mention in this Seed probiotic review is that I’m experiencing even less bloating than I have in the past. Now to be fair, compared to the average person I didn’t have much bloating to begin with since I follow a completely plant based diet and never consume things like dairy that can cause a ton of bloating. But, I still would experience some bloating once in a while, and I would say that now with the fact that I take the Seed daily synbiotic every day, it is even less frequent and it goes away more quickly whenever it does happen.
So, I have come to the conclusion that Seed definitely does work really well for me and I’m going to continue taking it for the foreseeable future!
Does Seed Need To Be Taken With Food?
The brand says that the ideal scenario is for you to take the capsules first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. If that doesn’t sound appealing to you, they do also say that you should take them however you feel most comfortable, so if you need to take them with food then that is fine as well.
At the time of writing this Seed probiotic review, I personally take them according to the recommendation and have never had any issues with doing so. But I’m someone who loves my supplements and as a result it’s pretty easy for me to take them, so take that into account when figuring out whether you’ll need to take them with a meal or not.
Seed Probiotic Review: How To Contact Customer Support
If for any reason you are trying to get in touch with Seed, you can fill out the contact form on their website, you can call them at 844-646-3586, or you can send them an email at [email protected].
I contacted them once and found them to be caring, helpful and just really easy to work with, so based off that experience I would think they would be accommodating and helpful with any possible issue you might have. They responded pretty quickly to my email and solved the issue that I contacted them about!
Seed Review: How Does Their Shipping Work?
Seed currently offers free US shipping and a $10 USD flat rate to all other countries that they ship to (plus any applicable duties, taxes, fees etc).
For those people that live outside of the US, you also have the option to enroll in quarterly shipping after you receive your first order, which is so convenient! This wouldn’t be a full Seed probiotic review if I didn’t mention this cool feature, which basically means that once you receive your initial shipment with the welcome kit that includes your reusable glass jar and first month’s supply, you can get free shipping on each future refill by only getting your Seed package once every three months and it’ll be filled with a 90 day supply of your DS-01 Synbiotic.
If you’re interested in getting the free quarterly shipping, just go to their site and look for information on how to sign up for their “Sustainable Transport Program” if you’re interested in doing so!
Seed Probiotic Review: Updated Results
At this point I have now consistently been taking Seed Probiotic for over a year, and it’s safe to say that I can’t imagine my morning routine without it. My skin has never looked better, and any issues I used to have with bloating are seriously reduced to the point where it’s almost completely unnoticeable!
Because I want this Seed probiotic review to be fully transparent, I’ll say what I’ve already said earlier on in this post which is that the $49.99 a month cost is a little bit expensive but in my opinion completely worth it. This is a small price tag but a huge investment in your health and wellbeing, which translates into you feeling more energetic, being more productive and getting more done overall.
Thank you so much for checking out this Seed Probiotic review post going over what I think is one of the best vegan friendly probiotic supplements out there right now!
