One of my favorite cruelty free and vegan friendly beauty brands of all time, Summer Fridays, just released a brand new body lotion, so you guys know I’ve already tried it out and have been using it for a little while now! I would say I’ve used it enough times to be able to accurately describe my experience with it, so today’s post is going to be a Summer Fridays Summer Skin Nourishing Body Lotion review 🙂
If you haven’t tried anything from the brand yet, I would highly recommend you check them out. Their products are super clean and filled with ingredients that are genuinely good for your skin, plus they are so pretty to look at and fun to use.
It’s also a female founded brand (two bloggers + entrepreneurs started it and launched it in 2017) so that’s really cool! 🙂 The brand’s Instagram has the prettiest color palette and is legit kind of an inspirational mood board, which I love.

Summer Fridays Summer Skin Nourishing Body Lotion Review
This vegan and cruelty free product came out in stores pretty recently, and I’ve been using it for about two weeks now. It comes in a 6.7 fl ounce bottle that should last a while, depending on how often you need to use it.
It’s specifically really good for addressing dry and dull skin and bringing some life and glow back to your skin after those dry winter months.
The bottle is recyclable, and Summer Fridays actually has their own recycling program in place that allows you to send them five empty tubes or bottles from their brand and receive a free mini Jet Lag Mask in return!
How To Use It
So I have dry skin, and because of that I’ve been using this product twice a day to correct that as well as protect against the extra dryness that comes from the cold winter months. I like to apply mine about midway through the day and then again before I go to sleep at night, and I usually use it on my full legs and arms.
You can use it whenever and wherever you feel like your skin needs hydration!

What Does It Do?
This product seals in moisture and hydration to the skin and gives you long lasting super soft skin that smells amazing. The formula isn’t greasy or sticky, so I think it’s going to be a staple during the summer.
It has the “clean at Sephora” seal, which means that its formula is free from parabens, sulfates, mineral oil, and a bunch of other common irritants that are typically found in a lot of beauty products these days.
My Thoughts
This Summer Fridays body lotion absorbs pretty quickly and I find it to be light and not at all sticky or messy. It doesn’t leave any white residue and melts into your skin really well!
I personally really love the smell of this – it’s a nice mix of vanilla and coconut, which are two of my favorite scents. For some people it might be too sweet, but if you’re like me and you love coconut and vanilla too then you’ll probably like the smell of it! It has a tropical, beachy feel to it, hence the name “Summer Skin.”
The product packaging is really aesthetic (as it always is with Summer Fridays) and cute for Instagram flat lays and stories if you’re into that kind of thing!
I also think that the size of the bottle and amount of product you get is pretty good! This is definitely a higher end product, so if you’re okay with the price tag then I would recommend you pick this up and try it out.
Rating: 9.5/10
I love everything about this product, from the amount of lotion you get in the bottle to the way it makes your skin feel baby soft. It’s a little bit pricey but I do think it’s worth it for a high quality skincare product that is going to last you a decently long time.
If you haven’t tried anything from Summer Fridays yet, this could be a really good starter product to introduce you to the brand. And, if you’re already a big fan, then you’ll for sure want to pick this up the next time you’re at Sephora.
