If you’re looking to boost your confidence, these tips will help you learn exactly how to do it! These healthy ways to boost your confidence are all easy to follow tips you can start implementing right now to become the most confident and best version of yourself.
There are all things that anyone can do that will help boost self confidence and personal development. So follow these tips for a more confident version of yourself, and to boost your personal growth this year.
1. Learn A New Skill
Taking the time to teach yourself something new can help you build up your confidence, because it helps you recognize that you are someone who is intelligent and talented and who can do difficult things successfully.
You can work on learning a new language, or teaching yourself how to cook, or really just anything you can think of that will build up and boost your confidence. There are so many good online courses that you can take as well if you want to perfect a skill you’ve already learned or learn about something new.
2. Surround Yourself With The Right People
I’m pretty sure we’ve all had those toxic friendships or people in our lives who just bring us down and make us feel terrible about themselves. Identify who that person (or people) is in your life, and cut off contact with them ASAP.
Removing people from your life is hard to do in the short term, but long term after they’ve already forgotten about it it’s 100% worth it. And when you remove these toxic people from your life, you’re creating space for new amazing people to come in!
3. Glow Up Your Physical Appearance
Life isn’t all about looks, but when you look good, you really do feel good. So if you want to boost your confidence, take the time to take really good care of yourself – do a couple face masks, drink more water, etc!

4. Stop Comparing Yourself To Others
Comparison is only ever going to result in misery, because there’s always going to be someone out there who has it better than you! It’s just inevitable. So, instead of comparing yourself to others,
5. Pick Your Favorite Thing About Yourself
Pick your absolute favorite thing about yourself (this could relate to your physical appearance, or to your personality or spirituality) and focus on it day in and day out.
As an example, if you picked something about your physical appearance, then every single time you look in the mirror you should make a point to focus on the thing that you love about yourself, and forget about the things you might not like! The more focused you are on that thing you love about yourself, the more your confidence will naturally grow.
6. Recite Your Positive Affirmations
This one probably sounds a little bit cheesy, but I promise you it really works if you do it enough. Write out some nice things to say to yourself (“positive affirmations”) and recite them as many times as you need to in a day. You can say things like “I am talented and capable, and I know I can get this done” if you’re getting yourself ready to do something difficult
7. Focus On The Good
This one relates to comparing yourself to others, but is a little bit different. It’s easy to get down on yourself by going down a path of thinking that you don’t have it as good as someone else. Maybe you’re thinking that you should be making more money, or you should have a nicer apartment, but whatever it is, you need to do a complete 180 on that script in your head and start to focus on how good you actually have it.
Instead of thinking about how you wish you made more money, it is WAY better to think about how grateful you are that you have enough money to pay your bills and live comfortably without too much stress.
8. Think About Compliments From Others
One thing that helps me so much when I’m feeling less than confident is thinking about nice things that other people have said to me in the past. This is such a good confidence booster because other people have nothing to gain from complimenting you (unless you’re their boss and they’re trying to get a promotion!) so it usually is completely genuine and coming from the heart.
Focus on the compliments that others have given you when you feel low or self conscious, and your confidence will grow!
9. Practice Self Care
When you take care of yourself, it shows. You feel better both internally and externally, which will shine through in your self confidence levels. You can check out some of my self care tips and posts below for more info on how to practice self care:

10. Be Ready To Be Uncomfortable
They say that no growth happens in your comfort zone, and I think that that is 100% true. You need to challenge yourself and get out of your comfort zone in order to boost your self confidence!
So put yourself in uncomfortable situations – if you’re not a huge fan of public speaking, then maybe that’s exactly what you need to be doing! Push yourself, and the growth will follow.

I love everything about this post, Caitlin!! I especially love choosing the right people to surround yourself with – too many times we overlook that and deal with unnecessary anxiety or negativity.
